Lake Pozzillo, falling within the municipality of Regalbuto, is one of those rare examples of when the hand of man manages to create a magnificent natural environment. The lake is in fact artificial and was formed after the construction of the adjacent dam in 1959 on the Salso river, near Regalbuto, in the center of Sicily.
All around, a forest of Eucalyptus trees has also developed, which together with the water of the lake and the surrounding hills make this place very special. Here you will also often find horses, cows or sheep in the wild, wandering carefree along the lake.
To arrive point with the GPS the Pozzillo Adventure Park which is located right next to the lake and there you will find a parking lot. After a few steps you will have arrived at your destination. Of course, if you want, you can also go to the Adventure Park, which is fun for both adults and children . The Park has 126 platforms, 4 climbing walls, 6 paths for children and a 600-meter cableway, a free glide suspended in the void.

Before you arrive or leave, drive if you haven’t already done so the stretch of road between the towns of Agira and Regalbuto, the one near the lake. This route is very beautiful and scenic. You will see hills with olive, almond and prickly pear trees and at times you can even admire the lake from above. As if that weren’t enough, with a little luck if not hidden behind the clouds, Etna will also keep you company.
Along this road you will find yourself at a certain point in front of the “Canadian War Cemetery” dedicated to the Canadian military in Sicily, who died during the Second World War. In addition to being a place of reflection, it is also a wonderful vantage point .
